On the first day of the Super Y-League North American Finals, Ironbound SC recorded two wins, and one loss.
The ISC Fury, U-13 boys, after struggling through the first half, settled down and defeated NOVA FC (Va) 5-2, with goals from Jason Neves (2), Kazari Trought, Chris Salazar, and Travis. The Fury will play the NH Phantoms(NH) on Saturday, and the Long Island Rough Riders (NY) on Sunday, both games at 9 am. In the other contest of the group, the LI Roughriders won 3-1 against the NH Phantoms(NH).
The ISC Inter, U-14 boys, after a scoreless first half, saw Coquitlam MFSC (Can) take advantage of their only solid scoring opportunity, early in the second half, in the 0-1 loss. Inter will play the Ottawa Fury (Can) on Saturday, and Alpharetta United (Ga) on Sunday, both games will be at 1:00 pm. The Ottawa Fury (Can) defeated Alpharetta United (Ga) 2-0 in the other game of the group.
The ISC Predators, U-15 boys, on a second-half goal from Michael Barbosa, defeated Blackwatch SC (NY) 1-0. The Predators will play the No. Va. Royals (Va) on Saturday, and the Westchester Flames (NY), both games at 3:00 pm. The No. VA. Royals (Va) and the Westchester Flames (NY) tied 0-0 in the other game of the group.
